This site is operated by Afrevo Limited, registered in Tanzania and based in Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam. When this notice says "we," it means Afrevo Limited acting as the data controller for personal information handled through afrevo.co.tz.

Two kinds of information only: what you send us on purpose (name, email, company and message when you use the contact form; email address if you join the newsletter), and a small amount of technical information the site records to run properly (pages visited, approximate location by country, browser type, and referring URL). We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal data through this website.

To reply to your message, to send updates you asked for, to keep the site running reliably, and to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them. That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell data to anyone.

A small set. Essential cookies remember your cookie preference and keep the site working. If you accept, we also use a privacy-respecting analytics cookie to count visits and see which pages are read. No third-party advertising cookies, ever. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser.

Contact form submissions: up to 24 months, then deleted, unless we're actively working with you. Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: aggregated and retained for up to 14 months. Server logs used for security and debugging: up to 90 days.

Only the service providers we need to run the site and reply to you: currently our hosting provider, our email provider, and our analytics provider. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement and can only use the data to deliver their service to us. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Some of our providers store data outside Tanzania. Where that happens we rely on standard contractual safeguards to keep the level of protection consistent with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act (2022) and, for visitors in the EU or UK, the GDPR. Afrevo Cloud, our own infrastructure product, is being built so we can move more of this data onto the continent over time.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to us processing it, or withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter. Email hello@afrevo.co.tz and a real person will reply within one business day.

This site is aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information through the site, email hello@afrevo.co.tz and we will delete it.

When the notice changes we update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, we announce it on the site. The previous version is kept in our records so you can ask what changed.
